Simple Sale

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 14, 2026

Simple Sale helps homeowners find out what their property could sell for and connects them with buyers, agents and services that can act on it. This policy explains what we collect when you ask for that, and who it goes to.

The short version: you tell us about your property and how to reach you, we pass that to the partners who can make you an offer or advise you, and they contact you. That sharing is the point of the form, not a side effect of it.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on our site, we collect what you type into it. Depending on the form, that includes:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • The address of the property, and details about it such as its condition, when it was built, and roughly what you think it is worth.
  • Your timeline and your reason for selling, where the form asks.

We also record, automatically:

  • How you reached the page, including campaign tags in the link such as utm_source and utm_campaign, and advertising click identifiers such as gclid and fbclid.
  • The page you were on and the page that referred you.
  • Your browser's user agent, and a one way hash of your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself.
  • The exact consent wording shown next to the phone question when you answered it, whether you checked a box, and the time you did.

Text messages and phone calls

When you give us your phone number, we may send you a one time code by text message to confirm the number is real. We may also call or text you about the request you made, including by automated means, as described in the consent wording shown next to the phone field at the time you submitted.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, and reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.

No Mobile or opt in information will be shared with third party for any marketing and advertisement purposes.

Your consent to receive text messages from us, and the fact that you gave it, is not sold, rented or passed to anyone else for their own marketing. It is used for the request you made and nothing else.

Separately, and as the whole purpose of the form, the details of your request including your phone number are shared with the partners described in the next section so they can respond to you. Those partners may contact you by phone, text or email about your property. Each of them is responsible for its own messages and has its own privacy policy and its own opt out.

Who we share it with

We share what you submit with:

  • Partner home buyers, real estate agents and referral networks who can make an offer on your property or advise you on selling it. This includes national referral partners such as HomeLight.
  • Service providers who help us run the site and contact you, including our hosting and database providers, our text messaging provider Twilio, and our email provider.
  • Advertising platforms, for measurement only, as described below.

We do not sell your information to data brokers or to list buyers.

We will disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect against fraud and abuse.

Advertising measurement

We advertise, so we need to know which ads led to a real enquiry. When you complete a form, we report that completion to the advertising platform that brought you here, currently Meta and Google.

Where that report includes your email address or phone number, it is converted into an irreversible SHA-256 hash first. The platform receives the hash and never the plain value. The click identifier in your link and the cookies those platforms have already set in your browser are also included.

What Meta and Google then do with this is covered by their own policies.

Cookies

Our pages and our advertising platforms set cookies that identify your browser so that a visit and a form completion can be matched to the ad that paid for it. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not stop the form from working.

How long we keep it

A form you started and abandoned is deleted automatically thirty days after you last touched it.

A completed enquiry is kept so that we have a record of the request and of the consent you gave, and so that we can answer questions about it later. You can ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to the address at the bottom of this page.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what is collected and why, to have it deleted, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing for cross context behavioral advertising, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights. We do not sell personal information as that law defines it. To make a request, write to us.

Asking us to delete your information does not by itself remove it from a partner we already passed it to. Tell us and we will give you their details so you can ask them too.

Security

Information is held on servers in the United States, with access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Children

Our forms are for property owners and are not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
